Passport Application (Lost passport Replacement)

1. Thai Electronic Passport (E-Passport) in cases of lost passport

  1. First, file a report of your lost passport at a local police station, In order to issue a new passport a 
         police report certificate is required.
  2. Make an appointment online here.
  3. Applicant is required to come in person. For applicants who are under 20 years old, both of parents are required to attend the Embassy with the applicant.
  4. Applicants who have travelled to UK on Tourist Visas cannot apply for an E- passport. In this case,
         please contact Royal Thai Embassy for the Certificate of Identity.
  5. Processing time is about 4 - 6 weeks.

  6. FEE 25.00 GBP (CASH ONLY)

**The applicant must bring his/her Thai Identity Card to submit the passport application.**

2.  Application forms - complete all three

  1. Form 1 - Request for a new e-passport 

  2. Form 2 - Investigation (applicant information) 

  3. Form 3 - Replacement of lost passports request form

3.  Required documents

In addition to the documents required to apply for an e-passport (please see e-passport application), the additional documents listed below are also required;

  1. Police report certificate issued by a local police station.
  2. Evidence of visa for the United Kingdom such as;
    • A letter of visa issuance from Home Office
    • A photocopy of the passport page with the issued visa
    • Letter of registration from educational institute (Student Visa)
    • Letter of employment from the applicant's employer (Working Visa or equivalent)
    • Marriage certificate registered with a British or Irish partner (Marriage/Settlement Visa)


The Royal Thai Embassy in London will issue a passport containing the forename and surname of the applicant in accordance with the personal data in House Registration Document ONLY.

If the applicant has changed or wishes to change his/her surname after marriage or divorce, the applicant is required to bring evidence of marriage or divorce in order to apply for an amendment of his/her personal data at the District Registration Office in THAILAND prior to applying for a new Electronic Passport in London.

E-Passport applicants must apply in person at the Consular Section, the Royal Thai Embassy, London
